Valentine’s Day Project

Happy New Year to everyone and I hope that your holiday was full of excitement and that you enjoyed being with your family.  Our first challenge of the new year is a Valentine’s Day Project and I hope that you find inspiration to create your project.  For this project I used the cut file “Pillow Box” from creative pointe website.  I made these little treat boxes for my son’s class and  below you will see a few of those that I have completed.  Please keep in mind that these pillow boxes are good for all occasions.  I used my  Pazzles Inspiration die cutting machine to cut out the pillow box, butterfly and acrylic heart.  For the butterfly I stamped it on a white sheet of paper using black ink, then scanned it into the Pazzles Inspiration software to make an outline.  Once I created the outline, I cut  the butterfly shape out and stamped onto the image.  I used the Sizzix  valentine set #3 embossing folder to embossed the red pillow box, then I attached a red ribbon from Michaels. Lastly, I cut out acrylic hearts using my Pazzles Inspiration die cutting machine and stamp it using red, purple and silver alcohol ink. Don't forget to leave a comment on my blog about the listed Valentine’s Day project and head on over to the Creative Cutting Challenge.

  1. All great boxes! Love the idea of adding the ribbon handle...makes it "girly".
